About the event

Did you know:

That the country was swamped by Belgians in the First Word War?

That Diss missed overspill by a single vote?

That the local council refused to accept Vietnamese boat people?

Whether fighting invaders, receiving the persecuted, hanging Catholic priests, transporting our own felons abroad, disliking foreigners, accepting prisoners of war and showing mixed feelings to the latest waves of people, we have been nothing if not ambivalent.

Hear the story at 7:30pm on Wednesday 18 June at No.8 Market Place. £5 (suggested donation).
